Automation is an integrated technology by which a process or procedure is performed with minimal human assistance. Automation has been achieved by various means including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic devices and computers, usually in combination, widely applied such as factory processes, steeling of ships and aircraft, household and commercial applications with minimal or reduced human intervention. Some processes have been completely automated. The major advantage of automation is saving manpower, but also saving energy and materials, improving quality, accuracy and precision of products.
